I spent the first 33 years of my life trying to be a king. I wanted to be the next Jay-Z, Bono, Michael Jordan, Richard Branson. They had it all — money, fame, fortune…a self-brand that exemplified personal greatness and success.
I chased it rapaciously. By 22, I quit my first corporate gig at Fox Sports to pursue stardom as the lead singer of a rock band. By 25, I started my own record label and owned a recording studio.
At 30, I started a clothing line along with a couple of major-league baseball players. At 33, my wedding was nationally televised on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
Soon after I said, “I do” in 2011, constant disappointment and pain had become the bane of my existence. After a failed NGO initiative, my wife and I moved in with my mom in an effort to salvage our life savings and to build our new careers once again.
In early 2012, I attended a workshop held by Hendre Coetzee, a world-renowned transformation specialist and speaker. We are homies today. He helped realign my purpose and for the past 5 years, I’ve voraciously built my career as a holistic personal trainer / nutritionist, executive coach, and real estate professional. Today, I build champions and the future champs of our next generation.
It is my vision to take part on the same platform as some of the world’s best personal development / motivational leaders around.
In April of 2016, I wrote my first book, Own Your Self: Master Your Character, Rise To Any Challenge, Find True Inner Peace. In the most digital era that humanity’s ever seen, I believe people are succumbing to being a discounted version of themselves, and calling it happiness.
It’s time to fight back and own your self. Titles, money, and fame are temporary, but self-ownership is permanent. If you don’t own your self, somebody or something else, will. Your great time, is right now! Together, let’s create your comeback story and live an inspiring life worth sharing 🙂
